Rio de Janeiro doesn't need any introduction, according to everyone who has visited this city it is indeed one of the most beautiful and exciting cities in the world. Brazil's legendary city is privileged with one of the world's most beautiful natural settings; the blue Atlantic ocean, the Bay of Guanabara, the lagoon, green mountains with its slopes covered by tropical forests and Sugar Loaf Mountain (Pão de Açucar) rising up steep from the see. With this package you will visit the cities highlights like the Statue of the Christ (Corcovado), on top of a mountain high above the city, the Maracana stadium and the historical center. Moreover we will take you on a cruise along tropical islands at west of the city. Of course there will be time to explore and enjoy Rio's most famous attraction, the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema.

Day 1 Rio de Janeiro

Arrival at the International Airport of Rio de Janeiro and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure,time to relax on one of Rio's great beaches. Overnight in your hotel.

Day 2 Rio de Janeiro

After breakfast you will be picked up by the hotel for a full-day city tour (including lunch).
We'll start our tour along the beaches of Ipanema, Leblon, Flamengo and Copacabana.
Followed by a visit to the 400 meters high Sugarloaf mountain. After lunch we will enjoy the spectacular views
of the 710 meter high mountain with the 38 meters high Statue of Christ the Redeemer, situated in Tijuca National Park, the worlds largest urban forest. Excursion on regular basis. Overnight in your hotel.

Day 3 Rio de Janeiro

Ater breakfast we will pick you up at your hotel and drive you (1 ½ hours transfer) at west of Rio de Janeiro, along the coastal road till the city of Itacuruçá. At the time of colonisation by the Europeans,
the local indians helped the Jesuits building their churches (in the language spoken by the local indians, Tupi-Guaraní: Ita = stone, Curuca = Cross). People in this area still live mainly from fishing in the paradisical blue waters of the Baia de Sepitiba, a huge bay with green tropical islands, blue waters and nice sandy beaches. At the harbour of Itacuruçá we will get along our schooner to start our tour along the tropical islands in the bay.
With a bit of luck you will be able to spot dolphins, giant king-fishers, parrots or sea-turtles.
A stop is made for a swim and then the schooner continues to the island of Itacuruça where a delicious lunch self-service buffet will be waiting for you. There will be a time to explore the Island before returning to Itacuruça.

Day 4 Rio de Janeiro

Morning at leisure, take your chance for a last dive in the blue Atlantic at Copacabana or Ipanema.
In the afternoon transfer to the airport.
