Paraty is one of Brazils best preserved colonial cities. With its very laid-back atmosphere, its time wrapped city centre with elegant colonial Portuguese churches and houses stipulating the face of the little town and its approximity to Rio de janeiro it is an ideal place to escape from the hectic metropole. Ilha Grande is thé place to experience the real tropical island feeling. Dense tropical forests covereing the steep slopes, no real cities on the island, no roads and just a couple of hours aways from Rio! This package combines both the little colonial village of Paraty with some nights in a resort on the tropical paradise; Ilha Grande.

Day 1 Rio de Janeiro - ParatyPick up from the airport or your hotel and transfer along the “Costa Verde”, the beautifull tropical coast between Rio and São Paulo to the historical city of Paraty. After a approiximately 4 hour drive passing marvelous beaches and dense tropical forests we will arrive in one of Brazils beste preserved colonial relic, the city of Paraty. Rest of the day at leisure, time for a stroll through the historic centre or simply relax in the great garden of our pousada. Overnight in the Pousada Corsario, we reserved you a Superior Room, with airconditioning, minibar, tv and terrace with hammock. Day 2 ParatyIn the morning you will go on a walk through the city center with our local guide. You will learn about the great history of the city, its many churches and harbor. In the afternoon you could go for a ride on a mountainbike, a visit to one of the nearby beaches or glass of caipirinha on one of the terraces in the centre, it's up to you. Overnight in the Pousada Corsario. Day 3 Paraty – Ilha GrandeAfter breakfast we will depart to the city of Angra dos Reis (approx. one hour drive). In this city we will get on board of a private boat to cross the Bay of Ilha Grande and bring us to bring us to our resort on Ilha Grande. Ilha Grande doesn't pose any roads, all transport is done by walking path through the jungle or by boats along the coast. The Island is a perfect place to experience a real tropical Island feeling, to make some wa The next 3 days we will be surrounded by the sea and the dense tropical jungle. No highrise buildings, no traffic jamms, only nature at its best! Our resort lies at the western side of the island, with the closest village at a day's walk. The cristal clear waters on this side of the island attract divers from all over Brazil and abroad. Ou resort rents diving equipment and organises dive-trips. Moreover, there are possibilities for kayaking and waterskying, apart from the great trekkings one can made in the jungle surrounding the resort. Every morning a boat departs from the resort to bring its guest to one of the nearby little islands or paradisical beaches along the shores of Ilha Grande. Let the boat bring you to one of the many deserted beaches and go for a hike through the forest back to the resort, or the other way around. Great adventures! Breakfast and diner is included during our stay on Ilha Grande. Overnight in the Eco Resort, all rooms with airco and great seaview! Day 4 and 5 Ilha GrandeThese days you will be swimming in the warm and blue Atlantic, enjoying the hot an strong tropical sun on one of the great beaches or at the pool terrace, diving in the clear waters, snorkling, waterskying, etc. Etc. Overnights in the Resort. Day 6 Ilha Grande - Rio de JaneiroToday you will leave the little paradise and get back to Rio. The resorts boat will bring you to the city of Angra dos Reis, where our local representative willbe waiting to transfer you to the airport or your hotel in Rio de Janeiro. |
